Afrobeat: Seyi Shay Putting Some Levels To This Genre

Seyi Shay (pronounced Shay-yee Shay), from back ups, jumping from one auditions to another, writing for big time acts abroad and so much more work, Seyi has since 2011 been one of the most sought after songstress in Nigeria and Africa.

Don’t be in the dark, other female acts are giving you and putting out the jams that’s blowing you here and there but Seyi has been somewhere making good music’s and bringing in so much fortune in her pockets.

Her latest release ‘ BIA‘ shows the power of her full will to create the real African sound, Shay experimented AfroBeat! Let’s flashback to ‘Yolo Yolo’ she put in her 100% dexterity in that AfroBeat infused music. She shows she’s definitely on a different level.

Seyi Shay is bringing in the culture that’s not so popular among the female race.

Her recent release ‘BIA’ boasts of wowed percussions, keyboards, bass, rhythmic guitars and some slightly congas which are typical instruments of AfroBeat music. Her vocals were smoothly inclined along with the instruments and the chants inclusive was way too dope!
Although AfroBeat has been way back, but it made its way into the 21 with 2baba ‘s – ‘African Queen’ (2004) and “No One Like You” by P-Square (2007). More recent hits include “Bumper2Bumper” by Wande Coal(2008), ” Oleku” by
Ice Prince (2010) and ” Ojuelegba” by Wizkid (2014).

It’s although not a bad if the Tottenham, London born act Seyi Shay can keep dishing this same genre out and putting it on another level.
